概要:
今回のカルタイ in 名古屋への参加に際し、愛知県、名古屋市、東区をエリアとする採集記録の展示を行うものとする。まず、メンバーが過去に制作した「ミュージアムボックス」の中から、エリア関連のものを選択して展示する。各「ミュージアムボックス」には、制作者の個性あふれる博物学的要素が凝縮し、ひとつひとつが小さな博物館としての様相を呈している。次に、東区内のフィールドワークで採集した事象を、画像と言葉によって記録した「フィールドカード」を展示する。古いものが比較的多く残っているものの、新しい開発の波が押し寄せ姿を変えつつある東区の様子を、家の軒下を中心に観察し、独自の切り口で解説する。なお「フィールドカード」展示には、野外研メンバーに加え、東区まちそだての会ほかのメンバーが参加する。会期中に行われる東区フィールドワークのサポート及び、ワークショップセッションでの発表も併せて実施する。
フィールドワークでは、普段は見過ごしがちなモノやコトにスポットを当てながら街中の多面的な観察を行い、発見することの楽しさを体験する。ワークショップセッションでは、市民の生活観あふれる多彩な物件を例に取り上げ、街の景観や雰囲気を形成する要素を考える。生活者である市民の叡智に溢れる営みは、実に面白く興味が尽きない。

「都市の狭間に咲く市民芸術 : 町の観察で新たな発見を楽しむ」
With ‘Presentology‘(考現学=Kougengaku) as its basis, ‘Outdoor Activity Study Group‘ carries out fieldwork through observing, collecting and recording various aspects of human activity and nature. OKAMOTO Shinya has headed this group for over 30 years, and there are now over 100 members, though presently, it is perhaps 20 members who are active. In recent years, the group’s activities have included the ‘My Cultural Asset Choice’ Project, which has received funding from Toyota Foundation, the making of ‘Museum Box‘, a portable mini-museum, as well as ferreting out ‘Eaves-Art‘, art which people have unconsciously created on the streets.
On the occasion of Cultural Typhoon in Nagoya, we will put on display some of the museum boxes of Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya City and Higashi Ward that the members have made in the past. Each ‘Museum Box‘ displays the distinctive and extensive knowledge of its maker. We will also be showing the ‘Field Cards‘, cards which record our fieldwork of Higashi Ward. These field cards reveal the character of Higashi Ward as an area where construction rush is palpable, despite the fact that elements of the bygone years are still well-preserved. The field cards that we will display were made not only by the members of Outdoor Activity Study Group, but also by members of Higashi Ward Community-Nurturing Group.
The area surrounding Nagoya has recently been regarded as one of the most dynamic in Japan, and high economic activity can, indeed, be found in various parts of the city. Nevertheless, fieldwork also indicates that the consciousness and everyday life of this city’s dwellers do not actually change as a result of economic growth. Carrying out fieldwork enables the discovery of multitude in the things and doings that are too often simply overlooked, and allows us to experience the pleasure of discovery itself. During the panel session, we will focus on the fieldwork of buildings, which reveal the creativity exerted in day to day living, and will consider the nature of urban landscape and atmosphere.
野外活動研究会（野外研）は、考現学をベースにしながら人や自然の営みなど幅広く多岐にわたる分野の観察・採集・記録を行っているフィールドワークのグループ。岡本信也を代表に30余年におよぶ活動を継続し、会員数は100人以上を数えるが、主メンバーの約20人が活動の中心を担っている。近年では、トヨタ財団から助成金を受けた市民研究「わたしの選んだ文化財」の選定、どこでも移動展示が可能な超小型博物館「ミュージアムボックス」の制作、市井の人々が作り出す無意識の美「軒下芸術」の最終などを共通研究のテーマとしながら、各メンバーが独自の研究テーマを持ち、それぞれの活動を展開している。

愛知万博を契機に、「元気のいい名古屋」といわれる昨今、名古屋市内の各地域では契機の良さを反映して急速に開発が進んでいる。しかし、そこに住む市民の意識や生活は、開発の速度に伴って変化するものでは決してないことを、街中の観察によって窺い知ることができる。フィールドワークでは、普段は見過ごしがちなモノやコトにスポットを当てながら街中の多面的な観察を行い、発見することの楽しさを体験する。ワークショップ・セッションでは、市民の生活観あふれる多彩な物件を例に取り上げ、街の景観や雰囲気を形成する要素を考える。生活者である市民の叡智に溢れる営みは、実に面白く興味が尽きない。
